Lieutenant Leland Hawksley

|Physical Description||Mr. Hawksley is 31 years old. Medical Records indicate that Leland is in top health both physically and mentally. He has a more significant than average percentage of muscle deposits on his 6’1” frame, which helps with heavy Engineering equipment often made of titanium, usually a weighty metal.
Leland has trimmed dark hair, when left, can grow long. He shaves almost every day and is left with a 5 O’clock shadow at the end of a grueling eight-hour shift.
Mr. Hawksley has a partial he places inside his mouth, to fit with two missing teeth from a Hockey puck incident to the face.
Leland is strong and capable of almost any other male or female on the USS Atlantis in carrying his weight around.
Brian is Leland's younger Brother by two years. At 29 Years old Brian explores the Galaxy as an interloper on Freighter Shipping lanes throughout the Federation and Romulan space.
Due to Brian's scant communication Leland has little to no contact with his biological brother. Both Brothers have not spoken to each other in years, or the Hawksley Family.

Personality & Traits
|General Overview||From the first look, Leland can be intimidating. He is large, tall with sizeable muscle mass. Many find once you get past his gruff outer exterior, controlling, perfectionist and stubborn he can become a reliable, good friend and buddy.
His personality is guarded with a touch of easy-going nature. He is like a hawk, always on the lookout for malfunctioning technology as a perfectionist.
Leland likes to keep his shifts at a consistent arm's length. When he is off shift, he still can be found checking up on the ships Engineering systems regardless the assistant chief of Engineering.
A trip to the holodeck with blazing sun-drenched beach, waves and a lot of alcohol usually are needed to destress for Leland at least once a month.
Leland is caring. He will stop at work and sit down to find out what is troubling his coworkers. He will not tolerate bickering or crewman who doesn’t act within a teamwork framework.
He has a passion for the sport. He loves a brutish game of Hockey and has participated and won a few federation cups.

Mr. Leland has extensive Federation Academy knowledge-based education and experience in languages, training, and technical abilities.
Having served numerous assignments, Leland developed communication and people skills, analytical problem solving and planning skills.
Mr. Leland has unique qualities attributed, such as dependable, flexible, friendly, hard working, expressive, formal, punctual and being a team player.
Mr. Hawksley can be impatient. He believes in teamwork, and that teamwork should flow smoothly, this should be steadfast and efficient. He will not tolerate delays.
Sometimes he can let his emotions show such as anger, annoyance or anxiety over a situation.
Mr. Hawksley has considerable ambitions in his life. Having had completed his bucket list so far he has learned rock climbing, camped in the Arctic to see the Northern Lights, learned to play the classical guitar, and become a cook.
He would like to learn how to fly a classic Spitfire or Lancaster from Earth’s WWII era. Leland wants to publish an article on Engineering physics in the Journal of Federation Engineering. At so, my point, Leland will want to find a potential wife and have a son he can teach all sorts of things mechanical.

It comes as no surprise that Leland's interests lie in the mechanical end. When he is not in the Atlantis Main Engineering, he is in his quarters strumming over his guitar to computer-guided lessons. He has been hugely successful and soon, looks forward to writing his first own song.
He is passionate about keeping his body healthy and is in the Gym early at 0400 Hours every morning before his shift.
Flying machines and old world aircraft inspire and awe Leland. The fact that such minimal technology of the time can perform such extraordinary feats in the skies of Earth.
Leland has a five-year-old Golden Retriever who lives with him in his quarters named Hercules. Classic movies, modern music in the 24th century are other hobbies of Lelands. He enjoys dancing when he has had a few alcoholic drinks from past weddings where he was best man.

Leland was born April the 14th in the year 2358. He was born to parents Daniel and Alice Huntley. Leland were raised most of his childhood living on Earth in Colorado. Nature had become a big part of Leland's life from a young age living in a state full of wilderness. He had a passion for mountain biking and exploring forms of energy that limited impacts on the environment around them.
The Hawksley Family is a tight-knit bunch and often get together whenever they can. They have a cottage back on Earth in their home state in the wilderness. Every time Leland gets to spend time at the cabin he flies fishes and lets his Golden Retriever Hercules chase the squirrels.
Having completed general Starfleet Academy training programs in the Engineering stream, Leland graduated in the year 2370 with full honors.
|Service Record||Time had flown by for Mr. Hawksley as he was awarded promotional opportunities along the way in incremental positions. Gaining confidence, he delved into engineer studies side of Federation Technical Journals and peer research forums across sectors.
